Gordon’s Bay is a harbour village on the False Bay coast with superb sea views looking across to the world famous Table Mountain. Just 30 minutes from Cape Town International Airport, Gordon’s Bay is the perfect base for exploring the Western Cape. Our scenic coastal drives have been voted the best in the world and are particularly popular for whale watching during the months from July to November. Gordon’s Bay has many excellent restaurants and pubs, and plenty of shops along the beach road. For the more adventurous we offer, a wide variety of exciting outdoor adventures and sports.
We usually arrive at beach 2 anchor around 11pm from a direct 11 hour flight from Amsterdam. Depending on weather we 1st open the balcony sliding doors or with good weather aim towards the roof terrace at the top – adsorbing the fresh sea breeze whilst having a tea or a wine. The next morning we roll out of bed and stroll towards Tallas tavern next door for their comfort breakfasts. This sets the scene for our holiday break … feeling happy, lucky, relaxed and ready to revitalise our bodies, minds and souls with all that Gordon’s Bay and the region has to offer. Depending on the day of the week, we select one of the restaurants in walking distance for a relaxing dinner. At beach 2 anchor we feel relaxed and we follow the motto “everything can be done but nothing needs to done”.

Beach 2 Anchor is a four level self-catering house right on the beach, in the holiday town of Gordon’s Bay. Spend your vacation in a stylish environment, just a few meters from the ocean, with stunning sunsets and fine dining just a few steps down the road.
The house has a backup electricity system and blazing fast internet, ideal for a remote worker that needs to get away into a secluded piece of paradise.
